Cevat Catana is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Kelowna, BC, with over two decades of consulting experience in the engineering sector. Over the past six years, he has successfully led a multidisciplinary team of 50 professionals—including engineers, scientists, and technologists—delivering strategic initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and resource planning. His leadership has consistently aligned team efforts with organizational goals, driving measurable improvements in client satisfaction, project delivery, and business growth.

Mr. Catana also specializes in design of shoring structures, assessment & remediation of settlement-sensitive soils, design and construction of bridge and building foundations, embankment dams, highways and railroads.

He has consulting experience in dynamic soil-structure interaction analysis and numerical modelling using software such as Plaxis & FLAC for advanced dynamic analysis of soils and structures. He is experienced with specialized geotechnical slope stability, seepage, pile analysis, finite element and seismic modelling software such as the RocScience Suite, Settle3, DeepEx, DeepFND, L-Pile, Group, Repute, SHAKE,
D-MOD and DEEPSOIL.
